About

The Stop Motion Project was a brainchild of four individuals whose primary purpose in life was to spread the love for mindfuck.

This project is a response to a grant provided by the Association for Progressive Communication Women's Networking (APC WNSP) to address violence against women and girls through the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Violence manifests in many forms. It is important for women and girls to know and understand that any kind of violence should not be tolerated by society. Identifying and knowing types of violence is crucial in formulating ways to prevent violence from happening or re-occurring.

The Stop Motion Project (SMP) hopes to address some of these forms of violence against women and girls through the production of three short videos using the stop motion animation technique. The people behind this project are individuals who are curious about video-making, and are hopeful that more and more women suffering in silence would be empowered to take action on their own behalf.
